About
Justin Kodama

Good design should be invisible — not hidden, just so natural you don't notice it.

That's what I've spent twenty years building toward — products that get out of the way so people can focus on what actually matters. Most recently at Codex Health, that meant helping patients manage chronic conditions and helping clinicians scale their practice without losing the human touch. Before that at Pear Therapeutics, it meant prescription digital therapeutics — FDA-regulated software where the stakes made the craft feel worth it.

I operate across the full spectrum from vision to execution. I'm comfortable setting long-term product direction in the morning and sweating interaction details in the afternoon. I've spent years filling the space between design and product — writing PRDs, phasing engineering delivery, making prioritization calls — because the work needed it and I had the context to do it.

I'm a Bay Area native — born in Berkeley, now living in Alameda with my wife Grace, our 14-year-old Jackson, and our 11-year-old Ryan. I've coached little league for four years, which has been one of the more unexpectedly useful and fulfilling things I've done. I'm also mid-pursuit of a 750-pound powerlifting total, which is the kind of slow, measurable goal that suits me fine.
